Operations and Management
Throughout my professional career, I have managed complex projects and business lines. At Frankfurt School, I was in charge of the largest degree program with 1,000 students and budget (P&L) responsibility for about 8m EUR annual revenue.
Previously, I’ve been responsible for donor-funded six- and seven-figure projects at International IDEA and the World Economic Forum. I am well-versed in different project management techniques and the use of key performance indicators.
At ESMT Berlin, I have completed courses on financial management (Managerial Accounting for Executives and Finance for the Non-Finance Executive).
People Leadership
I have had line management responsibility since 2007. To expand my skills, I have completed courses at ESMT Berlin on Leading People and Teams and Leading with Psychological Intelligence.
I have been involved in multiple hiring decisions for administrative and teaching positions. As a standing member of the BSc Admissions and Scholarship Committee, I interviewed more than 500 prospective students between 2011 and 2019.
As founder and president of Professional Speakers Frankfurt and Area Director for Toastmasters International (2018–19), I lead and motivate volunteers in a non-profit environment.
Conceptual and Strategic Thinking
Since joining International IDEA, I have been tasked with developing concepts and strategies to foster innovation. At IDEA, I designed the donor-funded Effective Party Assistance Initiative from scratch. At the World Economic Forum, I helped launch the innovative Network of Global Agenda Councils and was later part of the core team that designed and ran the Global Redesign Initiative.
At Frankfurt School, I have been responsible for all significant curricular and strategic decisions for the Bachelor in Business Administration, including introducing fully English-taught tracks, curricular reforms, and a pilot project on leadership and collaboration.
As Director of Corporate Development, I oversee Frankfurt School’s strategy and have developed concepts for new centers and programs.
Representation
I’ve given speeches and run panels at international conferences, interacted with the media, and held hundreds of meetings with key external stakeholders.
At International IDEA and the World Economic Forum, I regularly interacted with high-level representatives from businesses, governments, and international organizations.
At Frankfurt School, I communicate with business partners, other universities, and professional bodies. From 2018 to 2022, I was a member of the Steering Committee for the Bachelor Conference at EFMD.
In 2017, I participated in an Executive Education course on Modern Sales Management at ESMT Berlin.
International Experience
I have lived in five countries and visited more than sixty, primarily for professional reasons. I have worked in international environments with people from various countries and cultural backgrounds.
As someone with a dual national heritage who grew up bilingually (German and Spanish), I firmly believe in the benefits of diversity. International exposure is something I consider a real privilege that has given me perspective and invaluable experience.
